Sarah has a Master’s in Horticulture from the New York Botanical Garden’s School of Professional Horticulture and a Bachelor’s in Environmental Science from Florida State. With over twelve years experience in the field, her past work has taken her across the east coast from SW Florida to Nantucket, and includes both private and public horticulture, as well as nursery management. She loves to problem solve in the garden, focusing on the details.

Tom was introduced to the world of growing through Applefield Farms in Stow, MA, growing some of the finest organic produce in Eastern Massachusetts. He has worked alongside Sarah the past five years gardening at estates and private properties in Virginia. He enjoys the challenge of balancing the mental and physical aspects of gardening.

They established Sugar Hill Gardens in 2022, a garden maintenance company specializing in perennials, vegetables and cut flowers, natives, container plantings, and specialty pruning.
